Johnny Ray & Chef Edgar Alleyne
In 2019 entertainment entrepreneur Johnny Ray called his old friend Chef Edgar Alleyne to break the good news. "We finally have a spot, are you available?" The spot was 123 Pleasant St. in Marblehead formally the location of Wicks and Palmers Restaurant. Designing began in earnest and The Beacon brand was born.

2024: Curt Havens and The Alleyne brothers join The Beacon Family
In 2024, Johnny and Edgar formed a new partnership with local Marbleheader and Arizona businessman Curt Havens and Edgar's brothers Andrew and Ken Alleyne. ANH Restaurant and Entertainment Group LLC. represents the same kind of friendships and comradery that brought the founders together. They remain committed to the brand and the great food, hospitality, and entertainment that defines "The Beacon" as Marblehead's Premier dining and entertainment destination.
